Licensed Therapist

Position Title:

Therapist-Independently/Non-Independently Licensed (Excludes: Provisional or Intern)

Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Supervisor

 

Position Summary

The Therapist provides clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients with behavioral health and/or substance use conditions. The therapist develops and implements treatment plans, facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and ensures compliance with state, federal, and Medicaid regulations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments (e.g., biopsychosocial, SUD/mental health).

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide evidence-based therapy (individual, family, and group).

  • Document services in the EHR within 48 hours in compliance with Medicaid and agency standards.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.

  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency confidentiality policies.

  • Participate in continuing education and maintain active independent licensure.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

  • Active New Mexico license (LPCC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or LMSW).

  • Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and billing requirements.

  • Strong skills in evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, DBT, trauma-informed care).

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation:

    • LPCC/LCSW: 50% of reimbursement rate per session

    • LMSW/LMFT/LMHC (Excludes: Provisional or Intern): 40% of reimbursement rate per session
