Herron Solutions, LLC (HS) aims to offer a secure, sober, and supportive environment for individuals recovering from alcohol and/or substance use. The Participant Agreement information on the sober living home, its staff, rules, responsibilities, and available services.
HS's recovery approach includes:

A structured, monitored sober living environment.

Mandatory attendance at house and office meetings.

Participation in 12-Step Meetings or faith-based groups.

Engagement in intensive outpatient counseling 3 days per week for 3 hours, one on one counseling weekly, and other recommended treatments to gain knowledge about addiction, manage emotions and behaviors, and develop life skills for a drug-free life.
HS policies ensure a safe and comfortable living environment, with an emphasis on personal responsibility and mutual respect. Participants must adhere to house rules, attend weekly meetings, and support peer accountability.
Rule infractions should be reported to staff, who will manage day-to-day operations and oversee compliance.
Participants rooms and belongings may be searched for contraband. Random drug and alcohol testing is conducted. Refusal or positive results may lead to expulsion and/or elevation to a higher care level without program fees refunded.
Personal belongings should be minimal, and HS is not liable for their loss or damage.
Respect for neighbors is crucial, with no confrontations or disruptions allowed. HS participants will bring all neighbor issues to HS staff immediately and HS staff will address any neighborhood concerns.
Program Fees and Policies:

Program Fee: $100.00 per week, due on Sundays.

Employment: Participants are limited to part time work, while completing programming. Participants not employed must complete at least 10 hours of community service weekly.
Critical Items Leading to Immediate Action:

Alcohol: No possession or use allowed.

Bullying: No threats, intimidation, or bullying.

Illegal Activities: No engagement in illegal activities.

Illicit Drugs: No possession or use of any drugs, including marijuana (includes Medical Cannabis).

Prescription Drugs: Must be registered and monitored by staff.

Pornography: No sexually explicit material allowed.

Sexual Harassment: No sexual remarks or harassment.

Language: All participants to use respectful and appropriate language that promotes a positive and supportive environment.

Theft: Stealing is not tolerated.

Drug Use: No mind-altering substances allowed.
-
Violence: No violence or threats of violence.
-
Weapons: No weapons allowed, including knives and firearms.

Child Pornography: Immediate expulsion and legal action if found.
Routine Rules and Procedures:

Room Inspections: Staff can search rooms and personal belongings; refusal may result in expulsion.

Personal Items: Limited to what fits in designated storage; items left out may be stored by staff.

Contraband: Includes drugs, alcohol, weapons, and pornographic material.

Automobiles: Must have valid insurance, registration, and license; only one vehicle allowed.

Laundry: Use of on-site washers/dryers, with assigned laundry days and cleaning responsibilities. Bedding must be washed weekly.

Dress Code: Appropriate attire must be worn in common areas.

Cleaning Duties: Daily chores and general house cleaning on Saturdays are mandatory.

Common Areas: Must be kept clean; no rearranging furniture.

Meals: Group meal planning and preparation for dinner; individual responsibility for breakfast and lunch.

Personal Hygiene: Daily showers and clean bathroom use required.

TV Use: No inappropriate material and must watch agreed upon programming.

Personal Property: HS is not responsible for lost or stolen items; valuables should not be kept on-site.

Visitors: No visitors allowed on the property.

Passes: Requests for passes will be on an individual basis.
Summary of House Rules:

Fire and Safety:

Review fire and emergency plans posted in each house.

Participate in drills and practice safety habits.

Be aware of fire exits, know how to call 911, and smoke only in designated areas.
2. House Meetings and Curfew:

Curfew is 8pm daily; plan to be home 15-30 minutes early. Violations lead to warnings, corrective actions, or removal.
3. Termination and Room Changes:

No participant can force another to end their participation or change rooms without approval.
4. Medications and Medical Conditions:
-
Medications must be stored in safe; follow prescribed instructions. Violations can lead to discharge. Participants must sign HIPAA forms for medication verification.
5. Horseplay and Conduct:

No horseplay, yelling, or roughhousing indoors. Respect others’ quiet enjoyment and property.
6. Smoking and Property Use:

Smoke only in designated areas; maintain property by reporting damages and avoiding unnecessary electricity and water use.
7. Selling/Borrowing/Gambling:

No lending, borrowing, or gambling among participants.
8. Meeting and Treatment Attendance:

Attend required meetings and self-help groups. Participation in substance abuse and possibly other treatments is mandatory.
9. Pets

No pets allowed.
10. Personal Conduct:

Maintain family-like relationships with others; romantic or intimate relationships may lead to discharge.
11. Mail and Neighbor Relations:

Forward mail to HS office; maintain good relations with neighbors and respect property boundaries.
12. Participant Responsibilities:

Inform the House Manager in writing at least 2 weeks before ending participation. HS reserves the right to remove participants at any time with a 1-hour notice to remove personal items.
13. Corrective Actions:

Infractions may result in warnings, corrective actions, probation, loss of privileges, or immediate removal. Repeated rule-breaking will lead to review and possible removal from program.
14. Cameras:

Cameras are placed at all Herron Solutions, LLC premises for safety.
Complaints/Grievances:
-
Resolution Process: HS aims to address complaints within 72 hours. Participants should use the Grievance Slip form, available in the house, and submit it to the Transitional Living Coordinator. All complaints must be in writing.

Grievance Handling: The Transitional Living Coordinator will meet with the participant within 48-72 hours to discuss the issue and provide a written response within 72 hours.

Policy Changes: Discuss concerns at weekly meetings. Submit recommendations to the Transitional Living Coordinator for consideration. Any policy changes are documented and signed by participants.
Discharge Criteria:

Recommendations: Participants are recommended to participate for a minimum of 16 weeks. We respect the participants right to make decisions about their own recovery journey. We would appreciate a one week notice prior to exit.
Examples of Responsible Behaviors:

Integrity: Avoid lying, cheating, stealing, manipulating, threatening, or using violence to handle personal issues.

Program Engagement: Actively participate in and contribute to the HS program.

Rule Compliance: Follow HS rules, admit mistakes when rules are broken, and accept consequences as learning opportunities.

Daily Living: Maintain personal hygiene, keep living areas orderly, and engage in mandatory house activities.

Employment: Actively seek and obtain employment.
-
Financial Responsibility: Fulfill financial obligations to the house and others.
-
Conflict Avoidance: Set and respect personal boundaries to minimize conflicts.

Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts through open communication and problem-solving, aiming for mutually satisfactory solutions.

Recovery Requirements: Work to meet current recovery level goals and seek help from sponsors, senior participants, or counselors as needed.

Medical and Counseling: Attend all appointments, follow recommendations, and report any issues.

Medication Management: Register and securely manage prescribed medications, take them as directed, sign daily logs and report any side effects promptly.
Additional Note: Participants forfeit standard landlord-tenant rights and acknowledge that acceptance into HS can be terminated immediately without notice. Acknowledgment on Transitional Living Application is agreement to all requirements outlined in the policy and procedures presented above.
